21st Precinct, Polizeiserie (1953-1956). Stanley Niss, Autor und Regisseur, produzierte mit John Ives 21st Precinct für CBS. Als sommerlicher Platzhalter für My Friend Irma otr_irma ins Programm. Realistische Krimi-Serie sprang auf den Erfolgszug von Dragnet otr_dragnet auf. Kooperation mit New Yorker Polizeigewerkschaft PBA brachte echten Polizeialltag in die Geschichten. Zwischen Erstausstrahlung vom 07-07-1953 und der letzten Folge am 01-11-1956, verkörperten drei Charaktere die Hauptrolle des Bezirkskaptains: Frank Kennelly (Everett Sloane; Ep. 1-109, 135) / Vincent Cronin (James Gregory; Ep.109-144) / Thomas Keough (Les Damon; Ep.145-159). Zur Seite standen ihm Lt. Matt King (Ken Lynch), Sg. Waters (Harold Stone), Sgt. Collins (Jack Orissa) und Lt. Gorman (Santos Ortega). Art Hanna kündigte die Erlebnisse der Männer vom 21. Bezirk an.
